Overview of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) in the development of DSM-5 Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) occurrence, symptoms, course and treatment in the population of people with addictive disorders (Core Functions: Assessment, Treatment Planning, Reports and Record Keeping, Patient Education, Referral, Consultation with Other Professionals)
- Review practical implications and limitations of various therapies in treating PTSD.
- Describe the anxiety patterns and associated mood states of people with PTSD.
- Review specific interventions in moderating and relieving trauma symptoms using clinically-validated approaches.
